TURKEY AND VEGGIES PUPPY FORMULA | HOMECOOKED DIET FOR PUPPIES

Navigating the realm of pet nutrition can be an intricate journey, especially when faced with conflicting information and controversies. Recently, the Purina Pro Challenges raised concerns, prompting me to embark on a thorough re-evaluation of various kibbles. Delving into reviews and scrutinizing ingredient lists, I found myself navigating a rabbit hole of information.

It’s confusing, even for us.  We are not nutritionist so much like you we rely on research and information online.  The results of numerous tests for the Purina came back clear.  I had lengthy conversations with my rep at Purina and we are confident that our puppies are safe whelping on Purina Pro Puppy.   We were also welcomed to join Petcuran (GO/Now) breeder program and until further notice, we will be incorporating both into the program to determine which our dogs do best on.

Having said that, I have always found Purina Pro to be a good match, I particularly like their new all stages performance formula.  It has been incredibly helpful to keep waiting on Tessa who is just a little metabolic machine.

My first recommendation whenever it is viable, is home cooked.  If you truly want to know what your pup/dog is eating, this is the only way.  For families with 1 dog, the cost compared to the increasing cost of quality kibble or pre-made raw is similar.

DO NOT GO ONLINE AND FOLLOW SOME FACEBOOK GROUP WHERE EVERYONE IS JUST MIXING WHATEVER THEY FEEL LIKE.  THESE ARE NOWHERE NEAR BALANCED, DO NOT INCLUDE NECESSARY VITAMINS AND MINERALS, AND WILL COST YOU SUBSTANTIALLY IN TERMS OF YOUR DOGS HEALTH.

DO NOT MODIFY BALANCED DIETS.  IF YOU DO, YOU NEED TO ENSURE THE SUBSTITUTIONS ARE THE SAME IN NUTRIENTS WHICH IS NEAR IMPOSSIBLE.

We have three diets that have been created for our program by a certified nutritionist.  Adult, Performance and Puppy.  You are welcome to use these.  If you find your dog is not a fan, you’re welcome to email me and I will provide you with multiple other protein options of diets that are balanced and from known sources (Dr. Becker, Hilary’s Blend)
