Willowcreek is a direct result of a true love and understanding for our Border Collies. We (Brenda and Angelique) met when we brought home siblings from the same litter (Maisy & Riley). From there we did training together (Brenda is certified) and developed a strong friendship that has carried through 10 years with Brenda acquiring Piper from Riley’s first litter in 2017.
Brenda has 3 generations of our current line and Angelique has three with the recent addition of Lily, our Chocolate Female born May 24th. On the farm in Aldergrove, Brenda’s family enjoys massive socialization and her girls (and boy) are working farm dogs. They are also house dogs, indulged with cuddles and soft beds every night. Angelique has recently made the move to Ontario and all puppies in 2023 will be born in Langley or Southern Ontario (Kingsville, ON).
When handling such an intelligent breed as a border collie ( highly emotional breed!) one must know much more than just the temperament of the dogs. How a border collie is raised from the day they are born is just as important. All our border collies are cared for inside, they are played with daily, we incorporate ENS and ESI in our whelping program and work continuously to improve on temperaments.
We do NOT kennel our border collies, they are not outside in a barn or a kennel. They are integrated into daily life and we encourage weekly visits (when able) to bond with your puppies starting at week 3.
Our dogs and their puppies (and humans) are extended family and that is what is most important. Willowcreek is proud of the border collie community we have built and we will continue to grow to encourage, healthy ownership and responsible breeding of these magnificent dogs.
Border collies are not for everyone, however if you are looking for an attentive companion that is willing, ready and always able, a border collie may be for you. Our dogs thrive on being a part of the family and are balanced dogs, they can enjoy a long hike or an evening on the couch surfing Netflix’s with you. We raise confident, stable pups that thrive in busy companion homes and excel in sports of all kinds.
