Transitioning your border collie puppy to raw:

To enhance your puppy’s diet, we suggest adding an occasional egg and fish oils for omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These little additions don’t disrupt the nutritional balance of the meal and provide additional health benefits for your growing pup.

When it comes to portion sizes, aim for around 200g per meal to start. The beauty of Big Country Raw is that it’s balanced by calorie, not measure or weight. This means you can easily adjust the food amount based on your puppy’s needs. If your puppy starts to look a bit chubby or too thin, simply adjust the portion size accordingly.

For puppies, feeding more often is recommended, especially in the early months. Start with 3 feedings a day and by around 5-6 months of age, your puppy may naturally drop a feeding as they become less hungry throughout the day.

You are encouraged to have Big Country Raw create a meal plan for you, you can do that by requesting one on their website, www.bigcountryraw.ca
